Betsy was born and raised on a farm outside of Wentworth, South Dakota. She obtained an Athletic Training degree, with a Psychology minor from South Dakota State University. She then went on to obtain her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of South Dakota. Following graduation, she moved to the Lincoln area and she has been a part of the Makovicka team since 2010. Betsy treats a variety of diagnoses and specializes in Vestibular/BPPV and Women's Health. She is certified in RockTape/Kinesiology taping. She is the Vice President of the Athletic Booster Board at Southwest High School. Betsy teaches exercise classes at the local YMCA, and her two kids are active in sports, with one in high school at Southwest and the other in middle school at Scott. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association.

He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center. There, he earned his Master and Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy. Since then, Jeff has continued to refine his skills and has been board certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and as an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) . In addition, he is certified as a Sportsmetrics trainer, a program proven to reduce ACL injuries. Jeff is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, The Nebraska Physical Therapy Association, and The National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Curtis then moved to Omaha, Nebraska and attended Creighton University where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and completed an orthopedic residency through the partnership of Creighton University and Makovicka Physical Therapy. He is an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) Curtis is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. He volunteers for Special Olympics and performs fitness screening for the athletes during the Spring Games in Nebraska. Curtis enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and helping out on his parent's farm.

He is Level 2 certified in Functional Dry Needling and is certified in Orthotics. Landon Booker was born and raised in North Platte, Nebraska. He received a bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Landon then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with high distinction. He is level 1 certified in Functional Dry Needling, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association with experience training both athletes and non-athletes for rehabilitation as well as performance goals. In addition, Landon utilizes blood flow restriction training which is performed with tourniquet pressure monitored with dopler ultrasound during low-load exercise to create the same resistance training adaptations which typically only occur at very high loads/ resistance. This modality is highly suited for rehab to safely and quickly increase strength and muscle size without overly stressing healing tissues. Landon is one of few providers in Lincoln with an isokinetic dynamometer which he uses to help determine readiness of athletes to return to sport following injury especially ACL reconstruction and knee ligament injury.

He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to attend Creighton University where he graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Chris is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) with extensive experience in treating foot and ankle injuries, and is a Level 2 Functional Dry Needling specialist. He directs Makovicka Physical Therapy’s expanded occupational health program in Lincoln and Omaha and is certified to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE's). Chris is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association (NPTA). He is currently serving on the Steering Committee for the Better Business Bureau Integrity Award Review Committee in Lincoln. Chris was recently nominated to the Workers Compensation Association of Nebraska Board of Directors.

He was the President of the Nebraska Student Special Interest group in 2015 and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UNMC in 2016. Shane is certified in Level 2 Functional Dry Needling through EIM and is an Impact Concussion Trained physical therapist. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. Shane and his wife, Morgan, currently reside in Plattsmouth, NE. Shane enjoys boating, hunting, fishing, and snow skiing.

Natalie has continued to develop her clinical and practice skills in patient care, staff and health care management and administration, and has been an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) board certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) since 1999. She is also an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Natalie furthered her education by receiving a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University. She has received numerous professional recognitions and awards for her work in physical therapy and management. Natalie is a member of, and has served in leadership positions for, APTA, Nebraska Physical Therapy Association, and the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, Joel moved to Arizona to play in the National Football League (NFL) for the Arizona Cardinals. Following his retirement from the NFL, he coached football at the University of Virginia. There, he learned his true calling was in the field of physical therapy. He graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University and currently focuses his practice on developing physical therapy clinics in Nebraska. He completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA. He enjoys treating patients of all ages and a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. Mike is Level 2 certified for dry needling through EMI and is an American Physical Therapy and Nebraska Physical Therapy Association member. Mike lives in Wahoo, where he enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and children.

Cory originally hails from the great state of South Dakota. He was raised in Irene and attended Mount Marty College where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University. Since then Cory, has practiced outpatient orthopedics, home health, inpatient and skilled nursing physical therapy. He has worked exclusively in the outpatient orthopedic setting since 2001 with an emphasis in sports medicine. Cory has been trained in Postural Restoration and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. He lives in Wahoo, Nebraska and volunteers in numerous community organizations.

Megan attended the University of South Dakota where she received her master’s degree and doctoral degree in occupational therapy. She completed the qualifications and passed the board examination to become a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). This is a rigorous process that includes a minimum of 5 years of practice with 4000 hours of work dedicated to the treatment of the upper extremity. Megan provides therapy to clients who have sustained traumatic, repetitive use, and work-related hand and arm injuries. She has worked with area hand surgeons in several cities around the eastern Nebraska region. Megan is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists. Outside of work, she spends her time with her husband Tom and three daughters Sutton, Morgan, and Brooklyn and two dogs Juno and Teeko. Although she’s mostly a spectator, she enjoys sporting events, camping, boating, winter sports, and movie nights. Megan also enjoys exploring ways to be creative with scrapbooking, crafting, photography, and baking.
