Betsy was born and raised on a farm outside of Wentworth, South Dakota. She obtained an Athletic Training degree, with a Psychology minor from South Dakota State University. She then went on to obtain her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of South Dakota. Following graduation, she moved to the Lincoln area and she has been a part of the Makovicka team since 2010. Betsy treats a variety of diagnoses and specializes in Vestibular/BPPV and Women's Health. She is certified in RockTape/Kinesiology taping. She is the Vice President of the Athletic Booster Board at Southwest High School. Betsy teaches exercise classes at the local YMCA, and her two kids are active in sports, with one in high school at Southwest and the other in middle school at Scott. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association.

Jeff was born and raised in David City, Nebraska. He moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to obtain his Bachelor’s degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he was a member of the football team. He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center. There, he earned his Master and Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy. Since then, Jeff has continued to refine his skills and has been board certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and as an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) . In addition, he is certified as a Sportsmetrics trainer, a program proven to reduce ACL injuries. Jeff is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, The Nebraska Physical Therapy Association, and The National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Kendy lives in Plattsmouth, NE., and received a degree in Applied Science from Clarkson College where she was a member of the first accredited graduating class. She is a licensed physical therapist assistant and also works as a PTA in long-term care settings. She is a member of the Accreditation Committee of the APTA and serves as the PTA clinician for the national PTA accreditation program. Kendy has 5 grandchildren that add enjoyment to her life.

Laura has enjoyed being the Front Desk Specialist/Tech at the Yutan Clinic since July 2008. She was born in Brunswick, Maine, and grew up in Omaha where she was a member of the last graduating class at Millard High School, now known as Millard South. Laura is married to her wonderful husband John, since June of 1984 and together they have two children, whom they are very proud of. Tyler, a graduate of Doane College, works in his field at NRD. Amber, enjoys being part of the work-family at Foy Aesthetic Family Dentistry in Omaha. At home, they have two dogs, Milo and Dova. She enjoys spending time with John, walking the dogs, and relaxing with her family on the patio.

Trish was a military brat who spent much of her youth traveling the world with her father who served in the US Air Force. She enlisted in the Air Force as well, being trained in the Russian language and then stationed in Berlin with her husband, Joe, whom she met in language school. She and Joe traveled the world together, raising and homeschooling six children, and finally settled in Bellevue, NE after Joe retired from the Air Force in 2009. Trish re-entered the workforce a few years ago as a bridal consultant at a local bridal boutique and recently started with Makovicka Physical Therapy as a Front Desk Representative and PT Tech. She enjoys the challenge of her new job and enjoys interacting with all the patients at Makovicka!

Lisa was raised in Omaha, Nebraska where she graduated from Millard West High School. After high school she attended College of Saint Mary and was a part of the softball program. She then moved out of state and attended American InterContinental University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Healthcare Management degree. After completing her degree she continued her education and focus on medical billing by obtaining her Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) certification before returning home to Omaha. Lisa is currently on the board for the Nebraska SIDS Foundation and a member of the agency's Case Review Team for Douglas County. Curtis was born and raised in Ravenna, Nebraska. He moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he obtained an Athletic Training degree. Curtis then moved to Omaha, Nebraska and attended Creighton University where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and completed an orthopedic residency through the partnership of Creighton University and Makovicka Physical Therapy. He is an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) Curtis is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. He volunteers for Special Olympics and performs fitness screening for the athletes during the Spring Games in Nebraska. Curtis enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and helping out on his parent's farm.

Landon Booker was born and raised in North Platte, Nebraska. He received a bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Landon then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with high distinction. He is level 1 certified in Functional Dry Needling, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association with experience training both athletes and non-athletes for rehabilitation as well as performance goals. In addition, Landon utilizes blood flow restriction training which is performed with tourniquet pressure monitored with dopler ultrasound during low-load exercise to create the same resistance training adaptations which typically only occur at very high loads/ resistance. This modality is highly suited for rehab to safely and quickly increase strength and muscle size without overly stressing healing tissues. Landon is one of few providers in Lincoln with an isokinetic dynamometer which he uses to help determine readiness of athletes to return to sport following injury especially ACL reconstruction and knee ligament injury.

Irene teaches human relations and management classes at local universities, is a former board member of Heartland Family Services, and belongs to the Human Resource Association of the Midlands and the Society for Human Resource Management. She has served as CEO of three local nonprofit organizations and worked at The Nebraska Medical Center in the Occupational Health, Community Relations, and Marketing Departments. Kathy is a graduate of Leadership Omaha Class 32, the Nonprofit Executive Institute, and the American Hospital Association’s Creating Healthier Communities Fellowship. She is a former board member of WELLCOM, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Downtown YMCA, and Prevent Blindness Nebraska. Kathy currently serves on the board for Wear Yellow Nebraska and the Gretna Chamber of Commerce. She is on the Greater Omaha Chamber Business Excellence Awards Selection Committee.

She says the staff gets along very well in Wahoo, and they have fun, but they work very hard and keep focus on their patients. Beth is married to Bryce, and has 4 children she is proud of. As a matter of fact, when she is not working, she's in the gym watching one of her boys play or coaching. She has a young grandson she's also proud of, but she's quick to remind us that she is NOT a grandma...she's Gaga (like lady Gaga).

Chris was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. He attended St. Ambrose University in Davenport where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, graduating with honors. He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to attend Creighton University where he graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Chris is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) with extensive experience in treating foot and ankle injuries, and is a Level 2 Functional Dry Needling specialist. He directs Makovicka Physical Therapy’s expanded occupational health program in Lincoln and Omaha and is certified to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE's). Chris is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association (NPTA). He is currently serving on the Steering Committee for the Better Business Bureau Integrity Award Review Committee in Lincoln. Chris was recently nominated to the Workers Compensation Association of Nebraska Board of Directors.

Matt is from Omaha where he attended Omaha Northwest High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and his bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. In 1998, Matt opened Gretna Physical Therapy with the goal of providing quality care in a convenient location for patients in the Gretna community. He has worked with thousands of friends and neighbors over the years and built an excellent reputation in the community. During his years of physical therapy practice, Matt developed a strong interest in orthopedic physical therapy, with an emphasis on post-surgical rehabilitation. In February 2020, Matt joined his practice with Makovicka Physical Therapy to serve the growing need in Gretna as the population explodes. With Makovicka Physical Therapy, additional services are offered, and the clinic hours are expanded. He is a member of the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. Matt is an avid outdoorsman and also enjoys sports, music and spending time with family.

Maggie was born and raised in Omaha, NE, and was the first generation of 11 children with the parents of Harry and Margarita Falcon, who moved to Omaha from Mexico in 1955. She attended Omaha South High School and continued her education at Metropolitan Community College. She worked for the top three credit card processing banks in the nation located in Omaha, Louisville, and Ft. Lauderdale. She was a national account manager and an officer for First National Bank and then was an officer for the account management teams for the other two banks from 1990 thru 2003. In 2003 she changed her career from banking to insurance with Lincoln Financial Group and worked in several areas as a manager and director until 2017. She decided to slow down her work pace and enjoy life, so she began working at Von Maur in 2018. Due to the pandemic, she needed to make another change and found a great opportunity with Makovicka in June 2020. Being a people person, this position was exactly what she was looking for. Maggie enjoys spending time with her family of three children, one grandchild, husband of 35 years, and her black lab. She does pet sitting during her spare time and enjoys cooking Mexican food for her friends and family.

She returned to her roots in Nebraska to obtain a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she was a Student Regent on the University of Nebraska Board of Regents. Natalie has continued to develop her clinical and practice skills in patient care, staff and health care management and administration, and has been an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) board certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) since 1999. She is also an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Natalie furthered her education by receiving a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University. She has received numerous professional recognitions and awards for her work in physical therapy and management. Natalie is a member of, and has served in leadership positions for, APTA, Nebraska Physical Therapy Association, and the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. Rachel was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska where she attended Lincoln Southwest High School. She continued her education at Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Upon graduating from NWU she was accepted into the Des Moines University physical therapy program where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he not only obtained his Bachelor’s degree but was also a member of the award-winning, three-time, National Championship football teams for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Upon graduation, Joel moved to Arizona to play in the National Football League (NFL) for the Arizona Cardinals. Following his retirement from the NFL, he coached football at the University of Virginia. There, he learned his true calling was in the field of physical therapy. He graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University and currently focuses his practice on developing physical therapy clinics in Nebraska. Joel is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association, and he serves on the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Joel was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended Lincoln East High School where he participated in tennis, soccer, baseball, and basketball. Joel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Exercise Health Science at the University of Nebraska. He attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. Joel is Level 1 certified in Functional Dry Needling, and he is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. A fun fact about Joel; he loves the outdoors and is an avid Husker fan, and sold Runza's at Nebraska football games for four years!

Christopher was born in Kansas City, Kansas and raised in McCook, Nebraska. He attended University of Nebraska in Lincoln and received a bachelors degree in Education and Human Sciences. He then moved to Des Moines, Iowa and attended Des Moines University where he earned his doctorate of physical therapy. Chris is a member of both the APTA and the NPTA.

Kelsey grew up in Ralston, Nebraska. She moved to Hastings, Nebraska, where she played volleyball for four years and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hastings College. Kelsey returned home to Omaha, Nebraska where she continued her education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Kelsey is a board-certified orthopaedic specialist and Level 2 certified in Dry Needling. Kelsey is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (ATPA) and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association (NPTA).

Sydney is engaged to be married to Monte.

Cory originally hails from the great state of South Dakota. He was raised in Irene and attended Mount Marty College where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University. Since then Cory, has practiced outpatient orthopedics, home health, inpatient and skilled nursing physical therapy. He has worked exclusively in the outpatient orthopedic setting since 2001 with an emphasis in sports medicine. Cory has been trained in Postural Restoration and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. He lives in Wahoo, Nebraska and volunteers in numerous community organizations.

Todd was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska where he graduated from Grand Island Senior High. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and then moved to Des Moines, Iowa to attend Des Moines University, where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Todd is a board-certified sports clinical specialist (SCS). He enjoys treating all types of orthopedic patients. Todd is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association.

Ryan was born in Omaha, and grew up in Fremont. He attended Fremont High School where he played football, ran track and wrestled. Ryan attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he earned a bachelors degree in Biology. He then attended Briar Cliff University where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and served as the Outreach Coordinator for the pro bono clinic. Ryan is certified in dry needing and SASTM. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Stacey was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska. She attended Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant, and a Minor in Health Care Business Management. Stacey has specialized training in Aquatic Physical Therapy, and is currently working towards certification. Stacey helped develop a non-profit organization, Bikes and Trykes of Central Nebraska, to help raise funds to provide adapted tricycles for children and adults who are unable to ride traditional bicycles. Stacey is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association.

Lauren then attended Creighton University where she obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She is a board-certified orthopedic specialist after completing a residency with Evidence in Motion. She is a member of the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association (NPTA) Practice Management committee and an American Physical Therapy Association credentialed clinical instructor. Lauren has also completed advanced training in women’s health physical therapy and helps as a Creighton University Department of Physical Therapy lab instructor during the summer
