Jeff was born and raised in David City, Nebraska. He moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and received his Bachelor’s degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he was a member of the football team. He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center. There, he earned his Master and Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy. Jeff has continued to refine his skills and has been board certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and as an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) . In addition, he is certified as a Sportsmetrics trainer, a program proven to reduce ACL injuries. Jeff is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, The Nebraska Physical Therapy Association, and The National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Curtis Basnett
Curtis was born and raised in Ravenna, Nebraska, and earned a degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Curtis then moved to Omaha to attend Creighton University, where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and completed an orthopedic residency through the partnership between Creighton University and Makovicka Physical Therapy. Curtis is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and holds a certification in Athletic Training. He is also an APTA-certified clinical instructor, regularly mentoring PT and PTA students, as well as local high school and college interns interested in athletic training and physical therapy. He discovered his passion for rehabilitation through his athletic training background and chose to pursue physical therapy to make a broader impact on people's lives. Curtis has a strong interest in working with athletes but is equally passionate about helping individuals of all ages and activity levels return to doing what they love. He enjoys guiding patients through the hard parts of recovery, helping them build lasting strength, and celebrating their long-term progress. Curtis brings a grounded, approachable presence to the clinic, shaped by his upbringing on a central Nebraska farm, and takes pride in connecting personally with each patient he works with. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys life with his wife, whom he married in 2012, and their three amazing kids. He also enjoys helping out on his parents’ farm and working on home projects with his family.

Trevor grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota. He received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from South Dakota State University. He then went on to attend the University of South Dakota where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Following graduation, Trevor moved to Papillion with his wife Amy and began practicing as a physical therapist. He is a member of the APTA as well as the neurological chapter of the APTA, and has a special interest in vestibular rehabilitation. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and woodworking as well as spending time with his family.

Landon Booker
Landon was born and raised in North Platte, Nebraska. Landon earned a bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, followed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with high distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is a Level 1 Certified Functional Dry Needling practitioner and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Landon has experience working with both athletes and non-athletes to support rehabilitation and optimize performance. He also incorporates blood flow restriction (BFR) training into his practice, a technique that uses monitored tourniquet pressure and Doppler ultrasound during low-load exercise to mimic the effects of high-load resistance training. This method is especially beneficial in rehabilitation settings, allowing for rapid gains in strength and muscle size without overstressing healing tissues. Landon is one of the few providers in Lincoln with access to an isokinetic dynamometer, which he uses to assess readiness for return to sport, particularly after ACL reconstruction or other knee ligament injuries.

Chris Cameron was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from St. Ambrose University, graduating with honors. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University and is now a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) with extensive experience in orthopedic and work-related injuries. Chris directs Makovicka Physical Therapy’s Occupational Health Program in both Lincoln and Omaha, where he partners with employers to develop creative, nuanced strategies that reduce workers’ compensation injuries and lower employer costs. He is certified to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) and is a Level 2 Functional Dry Needling specialist. A recognized leader in occupational health and safety, Chris currently serves on the Workers’ Compensation Association of Nebraska Board of Directors. In 2022, he was honored with the National Safety Council’s international Rising Star of Safety Award for his contributions to advancing workplace safety and injury prevention.

Shane serves on the Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is involved in many community and civic activities in Cass County. Joel was born and raised in Brainard, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he not only obtained his Bachelor’s degree but was also a member of the award-winning, three-time, National Championship football teams for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Upon graduation, Joel moved to Arizona to play in the National Football League (NFL) for the Arizona Cardinals. Following his retirement from the NFL, he coached football at the University of Virginia. There, he learned his true calling was in the field of physical therapy. He graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University and currently focuses his practice on developing physical therapy clinics in Nebraska. Joel is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association, and he recently served on the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Amanda has an Aquatic Therapy & Rehabilitation certification (ATRIC). Her career has taken her to an additional five states as a contract PTA throughout eight years. This was an experience and opportunity of a lifetime getting to work in so many settings, meeting new friends, and traveling the country. After eight years of traveling, she was ready to settle down and be closer to family and took a job in Lee's Summit, MO at an outpatient clinic. Amanda eventually moved to Omaha to be closer to her fiancé. She married her husband Jay in November of 2022. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys staying active, being involved in the church, serving at Open Door Mission with her husband and colleagues, and spending time with her family and friends. She made friends wherever she went, and her absence creates a void. She will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences to Abby's family and friends, and all who knew and loved her. Excerpts from Abby's obituary: Abby was born on September 28, 1998, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Jered and Brenda (Puck) Olberding. She grew up in Carroll, IA and graduated from Carroll High School in 2017 where she participated in track, cross country, band, and softball. Her love of fitness led her to Buena Vista in Storm Lake where she ran track. She graduated in 2020 with a degree in Human Performance. Abby attended Clarkson College and graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program in the fall of 2022 with an Associate of Science Degree in PTA. She was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success Honor Society. Abby thrived at her job doing what she loved at Makovicka Physical Therapy. Abby lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel taking memorable trips to Chicago, Minneapolis, Delaware, New York, South Dakota, Maryland, England, Scotland, Florida, Tennessee, Ireland, and Nevada. Abby’s bubbly personality led her to many friendships and a family that adored her. Family and friends describe her as a sweet soul and a ray of sunshine – which is 100% Abby.

She later studied at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and competed on their track team. Carrie continued her education at Clarkson College, earning her PTA degree. In her free time, she enjoys working out, hunting, and both watching and playing sports.

He attended Midland University for his undergraduate education, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and developed an early interest in the healthcare field. He later found his path in physical therapy and completed his Associate of Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Clarkson College. In his free time, Stephen enjoys hiking, reading, and listening to podcasts. In the past he has participated in CrossFit and indoor rock climbing, and he currently practices iaido and kendo.
